FPO Meet 2.0 -North Chapter

Kozhikode, Jan 12, 2026: The FPO Meet 2.0 – North Chapter, organised by K-AgTech LaunchPad, College of Agriculture, Vellayani, with the support of NABARD, was held at the Agricultural Wholesale Market, Vengeri, Kozhikode, on January 12. The meet brought together over 80 delegates representing more than 40 Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) from Thrissur to Kasaragod to deliberate on strengthening the FPO ecosystem in Kerala.

Conducted during the morning session, the programme provided a platform for sharing experiences, challenges, and best practices related to sustainable and market-oriented FPO development. Inaugural and technical sessions underscored the importance of institutional convergence, entrepreneurship, value addition, good governance, financial inclusion, and market-led strategies for long-term FPO sustainability.

A technical session on “Strengthening the FPO Ecosystem in Kerala: Experiences, Challenges and Opportunities”, followed by a panel discussion and interactive Q&A, facilitated meaningful exchange of field-level insights and practical solutions to issues faced by FPOs in northern Kerala.

The event also marked the first official programme of the undersigned as Chief Executive Officer of K-AgTech LaunchPad, adding special significance to the meet. The programme concluded on an optimistic note, reaffirming collective commitment towards building a resilient, inclusive, and sustainable FPO ecosystem in Kerala.
