About K-AgTech LaunchPad
The K-AgTech LaunchPad is a flagship agri-innovation initiative supported under NABARD’s Rural Business Incubation Centre (RBIC) programme. It represents the largest NABARD-funded project hosted at Kerala Agricultural University (KAU), bringing together academia, global research expertise, and industry engagement to strengthen India’s agri-innovation ecosystem.
Established through a strategic collaboration between Kerala Agricultural University (KAU), Western Sydney University (WSU), and industry partners, the LaunchPad is designed to address pressing agricultural challenges through technology-driven solutions, applied research, and enterprise development.
More than an incubation centre, the K-AgTech LaunchPad functions as a catalyst for change—supporting farmers, agripreneurs, and rural communities by enabling the adoption of advanced AgTech solutions and translating research outcomes into real-world impact.

Expected Impact
The LaunchPad aims to stimulate economic growth by nurturing start-ups and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), strengthening climate resilience through smart agricultural practices, and enabling global knowledge exchange through WSU-led collaborations.
By establishing a supportive entrepreneurial ecosystem and a state-of-the-art incubation facility, the programme seeks to accelerate AI-integrated precision agriculture, promote scalable agripreneurship, and contribute meaningfully to the transformation of Kerala’s agricultural landscape.
